Osteopathy

What is Osteopathy?

Osteopathy is a manual (hands-on) therapy that considers the person as an integrated whole and looks at how the structure of the body can impact function and vice versa.

Osteopathic Manual Practitioners use a refined sense of touch to evaluate the body structures, patterns and rhythms including, the cranial sacral system, viscera, soft tissues (Fascia, muscles), bones and joints.

We have a deep understanding of the anatomy and interconnectivity of the body, mind and systems (e.g. digestive, circulatory, nervous, musculoskeletal, etc.)

and work with you on the self-regulatory aspect of the body to help facilitate balance and wellness. Treatment is individualized and uses a wide variety of gentle techniques, including but not limited to soft tissue work, myofascial release, mobilization, visceral, and cranial techniques.

Some of the benefits of Osteopathy include: reducing pain by restoring balance, promotes self-healing by stimulating the self-regulatory mechanisms, improves motion and ease by releasing tension and enhancing circulation, facilitating relaxation by reducing stress.
